Livery Ranking for MotoGP 2025

Close to the new season we have all the new liveries for the teams in this years MotoGP World Championship. Now generally it doesn’t mean too much, but it is a lot nicer when we have a nice group of bikes to look at rather than ones that spark no excitement to see in reality.

1. Pramac Yamaha

While still very similar to last year’s livery, what I particularly like about this one is the addition of the blue that blends nicely into the purple. While the black being there suits it well too. I feel it blends together well, and the Alpine logo also fits as you notice it is there but just not too in your face. Those little spots of red look great too.

2. Trackhouse Racing

This has seen the biggest change and I am a fan of this one. Majorly a little tone of blue, with some nice fluorescent yellow to help it stand out a bit blended well into the black which gives the colours a chance to pop off the bike. I really like love this livery, looking forward to seeing it on track. Stark contrast to the American flag esque livery we saw last year, which also I found to be good. I also like that it’ll give some colour to the grid this year.

3. Honda HRC Castrol

Honda have made a bit of a splash in their livery department. After splitting off from Repsol they got a chance to switch it up a little, and they have done so going for a lighter coloured livery with mainly red mixed in with some blue and white. The castrol logo does stand out a bit but somewhat to be expected just based off their logo generally. The HRC colours look very nice and maybe it is a welcome change after so long with the Repsol colours. Lets see if they have any improvement out on track this year.

4. Gresini Ducati

Not much change from last year, which will be a common theme in the ones to come. But the thing that stood out with Gresini this year is the silver accents on the bike. They look very nice alongside the light blue. Compliments it very well. They may be a little bit worse off this year with no Marc Marquez but they can still be competitive

5. Ducati

It is hard to go wrong with the red on the Ducati, and here is an example of some nice consistent good work. Looks like a staple livery which it is. But there are some small nice details on the sides of the bike that can be appreciated, especially because it probably is hard to innovate a pretty classic look. With such an incredibly strong lineup it is very hard to see the championship going anywhere other than the factory Ducati team. Especially with a rejuvenated Marc Marquez on side. If he gets going, it may end up being very one sided.

6. Yamaha

Here’s where they start to become more or less the same liveries as they’ve been running. Yamaha in thise case still looks great. Realistically probably all it needed to be really, because it still looks nice. The back end of last year they showed a bit of competitiveness. Partly due to Quatararo’s incredible riding. So let’s see if they can be consistently competitive this year as Yamaha hopefully end their troublesome spell of the last couple of years.

7. Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team

Keeping with the fluro theme that VR46 has brought itself, is a nice livery, similar to last year. It does include a 46 outline on the front which somewhat surrounds the rider numbers which in my opinion is nice touch but overall nice but very similar which is why it’s so low down. With VR46 having GP25s this year, depending on how things go, they could be in championship contention, but both riders need to be firing. So it will depend on how Di Giannantonio comes back from his injury and how Morbidelli bounces back from a somewhat poor season.

8. KTM

Between the two KTM teams, the livery is the same for all four bikes. Which makes sense since GasGas left them. But maybe some difference in livery wouldn’t hurt. With the Red Bull branding it isn’t too surprising to see a similar livery, and while it still looks good, somewhat uninspired. With Acosta and Binder in the Factory team and Bastinanini and Vinales in the Tech3 team they should get some results. Acosta proved himself to be of incredible quality so will be interesting to see if he can back that up with another great seaosn. Hopefully the KTM financial troubles won’t affect the on track performance too much though.

9. Aprilia Racing

Now the Aprilia livery isn’t necessarily bad, but its practically the same as last year and being almost black livery, looks wise it will lose out to the ones with more colour and interesting things going on. However, the one thing Aprilia have is that number one plate on the front. Courtesy of Jorge Martin and his championship win last year. Though his crash in Malaysia earlier in testing may have him sit out some time, we will have to see. But it isn’t the start Martin would want given his status right now. But Marco Bezzechi is very good and maybe can have an impact this year depending on what Aprilia produce this year.
